This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a dynamic family weight management service, delivering engaging, evidence-based support across schools, community settings and virtual platforms.

In this rewarding leadership role, you will drive the successful delivery of the service by co-ordinating innovative programmes, developing age-appropriate healthy lifestyle education, and empowering families with the knowledge, confidence and support to improve their wellbeing. You will lead and support a small team of Healthy Lifestyle Advisors, build strong relationships with schools, children’s centres and healthcare professionals, and play a key role in increasing engagement and ensuring the service achieves its yearly targets and outcomes.

You will be supported by a wider operations team and internal multidisciplinary team (MDT), giving you the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced professionals who are equally passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of families.

The postholder will work closely with Public Health colleagues, NCMP teams, healthcare professionals, schools, and community organisations to maximise engagement, strengthen referral pathways, and support families with more complex needs through a collaborative multidisciplinary approach. Responsibilities will also include monitoring service performance and data, driving continuous improvement and innovation, maintaining high standards through quality assurance and governance processes, supporting staff recruitment and development, delivering presentations and promotional events, and contributing to wider healthy lifestyle initiatives and partnership meetings. This is a fast-paced and evolving role requiring excellent organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
