Proof that change is possible

You need to know your investment is working, for the people you serve and for the wider system.

Outcomes that stand up to scrutiny

We capture outcome data as part of everyday delivery, so reporting against your KPIs is accurate and never an afterthought.

Numbers are only part of the picture. We also look at each person's whole journey: who they are, where they live, their circumstances and lifestyle. That shows us who we're reaching, who we're missing and what to change next. Services keep getting better over the life of a contract, and you can see why.

Social value in every contract

Social value is built into how we're run. In every area, we work with you and local partners to understand priorities and map community assets. We recruit locally, create apprenticeships and placements, and help local voluntary and community organisations grow stronger. Social value plans are reviewed with commissioners every year, so they keep pace with what your area needs.

Stories from our services

Three years at the top in Wirral

Our Wirral stop smoking service was ranked the number one service in the country for three years running, from 2021 to 2023.

Social value that goes further in Gloucestershire

Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire recruited every member of staff locally, co-locates with 18 community groups and helped set up GoodGym Gloucester. With two and a half years of the contract still to run, it has delivered more than £300,000 above its contracted social value targets.

More people reached in Sefton

Smokefree Sefton works with partners including Mersey Care, CGL and Peel Ports to reach people through foodbanks, workplaces and community venues. Referrals rose from 683 in March to May 2025 to 1,129 in the same months of 2026, coinciding with stepped-up outreach and campaign activity.

Healthier people, healthier planet

Our services are good for the environment as well as for people, because stopping smoking, moving more and eating well all reduce carbon. We're committed to reaching Net Zero across scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2050, and our Carbon Reduction Plan sets out how we'll get there.

Progress so far includes more than 99% of colleagues working on low-energy laptops, LED lighting and an air source heat pump at our Bolton headquarters, and 255 devices recycled since 2022. We also plan clinics and recruit locally to cut travel.
